waves no.1
november 2021
This is one of the first few paintings when I learned to properly mix colors. It was challenging for me to paint waters because of the variations of the colors and the thought of how I could make it look like water. It had to learn how to mix the blues and greens of the ocean. There were different details when painting the waves because sometimes it makes some bubbles when it crashes on to something. I just like how the white paint can also highlight some parts of the painting and make it look shiny, as if the sun's rays are reflecting on the water.
I was happy when I finished this painting because it's one of the first few paintings I did where I tried to pay attention to little details. I like how it's just calming when looking at the water.
